Ardena provides integrated services spanning drug substance development, drug product formulation, GMP manufacturing, bioanalytical services, clinical logistics, fill and finish, and CMC regulatory support.
Job Overview
Position: Intern
Department: Precision Medicine Chemistry, Nanomedicine
Location: Oss, the Netherlands
Ardena is hiring an intern to join the PR&D team at our Oss site. This role supports pharmaceutical development and manufacturing activities within a GMP-regulated environment.
Role Description
As an intern at Ardena, you will contribute to (internal) pharmaceutical development projects by performing scientific, technical, or operational activities within the Nanomedicine department. You will work in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
At Ardena you will work on:
Chemical and chemo-physical process development of bottom-up self-assembled nanoparticles for pharmaceutical applications
Engineering and optimization of nanoparticle assembly processes
The goal is to:
Control critical quality attributes (CQAs) of nanomedicines
During the internship you will:
Learn chemical process development of nanomedicines
Gain experience working in the pharmaceutical industry environment
Key Responsibilities
Keep up to date with scientific developments and insights
Work according to company procedures (safety, quality, documentation)
Maintain order, cleanliness, and compliance in the lab
Report progress to your internship supervisor
Profile & Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
You are a BSc or MSc student in one of the following disciplines:
Chemistry
Molecular Life Sciences
Nanotechnology (or similar)
Strong interest in nanomedicine (experience is a plus)
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Eager to learn, proactive, creative
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Looking for a final internship in pharma
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of nano chemistry is a plus
• Background in supramolecular chemistry
• Conversational skills in Dutch
