I am an organic chemist by training. After my PhD graduation in 1997 at Utrecht University I joined Diosynth BV (part of the pharma division of Akzo Nobel) in API Process R&D. Within Diosynth, I have held different positions such as project manager, head of the chemical pilot plant and Director Process R&D. I was involved in the roll-out of Lean Six Sigma at the site in Biotech (upstream and downstream processing). After the acquisition of Organon Biosciences by MSD and restructuring of the pharmaceutical operations I became Director Operations for Sterile Fill & Finish and secondary packaging at MSD Oss. I joined Ardena in May 2018 as head of Operations (PR&D and Manufacturing) and became Business Unit Manager for API Netherlands in May 2020.
