For the Ardena site based in Somerset, we are looking for a Supply Chain & Inventory Control Coordinator.
Ardena provides integrated services spanning drug substance development, drug product formulation, GMP manufacturing, bioanalytical services, clinical logistics, fill and finish, and CMC regulatory support.
Summary of Essential Functions:
The Supply Chain & Inventory Control Coordinator supports purchasing, inventory control, receiving, warehouse, and supply chain operations within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting procurement activities, managing ERP master data, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring materials are available to support manufacturing, laboratory, and operational requirements. The position serves as a key liaison between Supply Chain, Warehouse Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, and Laboratory teams to support operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and compliance with company procedures and GMP requirements
Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities:
· Purchase consumable inventory and operational supplies in accordance with approved purchasing procedures.
· Create and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders as assigned.
· Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing, lead times, order status, and delivery schedules.
· Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels for operations and laboratory consumables, and initiate replenishment as needed to prevent shortages.
· Perform inventory monitoring, cycle counts, investigations, and reconciliation activities.
· Verify shipments against purchase orders and shipping documentation.
· Create and maintain accurate item master and inventory records within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for consumable inventory items.
· Analyze inventory trends and usage data to support forecasting and replenishment.
· Generate reports and analyze inventory and purchasing data to support forecasting, replenishment, and operational decision-making.
· Act as a liaison between Warehouse Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Bioanalytical Laboratory, Quality Assurance, and other departments for consumable item support.
· Support material movement, storage, and inventory transactions within the warehouse as needed.
· Support inventory audits and regulatory inspections by providing accurate documentation and inventory records.
· Assist with implementation and continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control, warehouse operations, and ERP functionality and processes.
Position Requirements:
o High School Diploma or GED required, Associate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field preferred.
o Three to five years of experience in inventory control, purchasing, warehouse operations, supply chain, or materials management, preferably within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CDMO, or other regulated manufacturing environment. Experience within a GMP, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated manufacturing environment required.
o Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP systems preferred.
Knowledge/Skills:
o Strong understanding of inventory management principles.
o Knowledge of purchasing and procurement processes.
o Proficiency in ERP systems, ability to create and maintain ERP master data.
o Strong organizational and analytical skills.
o Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
o Ability to work independently while supporting operational priorities.
o Forklift certification required.
o Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
o Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and inventory management.
o Working knowledge of GMP and GDP requirements.
o Demonstrated ability to analyze inventory trends and support inventory planning activities.
o Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
o Ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
o Customer-service mindset with strong internal stakeholder partnership skills.
Physical Requirements:
o Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
o Specific vision requirements include reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen frequently.
o On an average 8-hour day this position requires the ability to walk, sit and stand, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms at or above shoulder height and below waist height, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk and hear, smell, and lift up to 40 pounds
Work Environment/Safety Conditions:
· This position will be in an office, warehouse, and manufacturing environment involving some exposure to wet/humid (non-weather) and variable temperature conditions; working near moving/mechanical parts; working around various chemicals including biologics, active pharmaceuticals, and other conditions reasonably expected due to the nature of work required
· Must wear safety glasses, in addition to other specified PPE, in all designated areas.
· Must follow any applicable site safety requirements.

Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $72,000.00
