For the Ardena Business Unit based in Somerset (US), we are looking for a Senior Warehouse Operations Lead.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
YOUR ROLE
The Senior Warehouse Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities with a focus on Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations, site materials logistics, and high‑integrity team leadership. This role ensures accurate inventory management, compliant movement of regulated materials, and smooth operational flow across the site. The Senior Lead serves as a hands‑on role model—demonstrating operational excellence, safety, and collaboration through their own actions.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Warehouse Operations Leadership
Lead daily warehouse activities by providing clear direction, hands‑on support, and a strong example of safety, quality, and accountability.
Promote a culture of operational discipline and continuous improvement by modeling expected behaviors and work standards.
Coordinate workload, staff assignments, and priorities to meet service level, safety, and compliance requirements.
Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and training programs.
Inventory Control
Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliation, and adherence to proper storage and handling requirements.
Support GDP, OSHA, CBP, and internal quality standards in all warehouse practices.
Participate in investigations related to material discrepancies, inventory issues, or procedural deviations, driving corrective actions.
Site Materials Logistics – Pharma and Biotech
Coordinate inbound and outbound material movements, with carriers and third-party logistics providers to optimize delivery performance including raw materials, components, finished goods, and temperature‑controlled items.
Ensure timely, accurate staging and delivery of materials to support manufacturing, lab operations, and site functions.
Maintain strong communication with procurement, quality, and production teams to prevent material shortages or delays.
Monitor material flow, identify bottlenecks, and drive process improvements to optimize warehouse efficiency.
Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, CBP and international shipping regulations.
FTZ Administration
Oversee all FTZ activities including material receipts, admissions, removals, transfers, and documentation.
Maintain accurate and compliant FTZ records in accordance with U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) regulations.
Ensure proper execution of FTZ processes including weekly entry filings, inventory maintenance, and zone audits.
Serve as the day‑to‑day point of contact for FTZ inquiries and support internal/external audits
YOUR PROFILE
Education and Experience:
5+ years of experience in warehouse, preferably in pharma/biotech.
Strong knowledge of WHS regulations, FTZ operations, and GMP/GDP standards.
Proven leadership and team-building skills.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge/Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills to influence, coach, and build trust across all levels of the organization.
In-depth understanding of WHS regulations, OSHA standards, and risk mitigation strategies.
Strong grasp of inventory control systems, including ERP and WMS platforms.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical and biotech logistics, including cold chain management and regulatory compliance (FDA, DEA, GMP/GDP).
Familiarity with FTZ operations, customs documentation, and CBP compliance protocols.
Physical Requirements:
Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds. Specific vision requirements include reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen frequently.
On an average 8 hour day this position requires the ability to walk, sit and stand, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms at or above shoulder height and below waist height, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk and hear, smell, and lift up to 40 pounds
May require use of a respirator

The annual salary for this role is up to $74,000.00
