For the Ardena Business Unit based in Somerset (US), we are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
YOUR ROLE
The Maintenance Technician supports facility operations by performing a wide range of building maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, basic electrical work, and equipment repairs. This role responds to scheduled and emergency work orders, ensures all work is completed safely and in accordance with GMP and company procedures, and maintains accurate documentation. The position requires strong technical aptitude, the ability to work independently, proficiency with tools and equipment, and the physical capability to perform labor-intensive tasks.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate ability to handle general maintenance responsibilities
- Demonstrate the ability and dexterity to utilize hand tools and power tools.
- Perform all work in accordance to company policies and regulations contained in company GMP’s, Safety standards and standard operating procedures.
- Have ability to work with little or no supervision
- Be computer literate
- Must be able to climb ladders and perform the rigorous task associated with a laborer position
- Performs Equipment Rigging, Lifting, Moving.
- Change fluorescent light bulbs and Ballasts as required
- Performs and not limited to: All Building Maintenance functions – Basic electrical, roof repairs, Floor repairs, Building repairs/ modifications, Spackle & Paint, Carpentry, Equipment repairs and modifications etc.
- Understand the basics of electrical / electronic theory.
- Performs and identifies preventive maintenance tasks.
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
YOUR PROFILE
Education and Experience:
- Education: High school graduate or related field experience in building maintenance.
- Experience: 2 – 5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience, trade school certification.
- Ability to establish clear priorities quickly.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and leadership qualities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, able to interface with all levels of the organization.
- PC literate, word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Able to read and understand construction blueprints.
- Basic electrical knowledge.
- Knowledge of cGMP’s.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $59,000
