For the Ardena Business Unit based in Somerset (US), we are looking for a Site Procurement Lead.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
YOUR ROLE
The Procurement Lead will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the procurement process, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, cost management, and supply chain optimization. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills and a deep understanding of market trends and supply chain dynamics.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and select vendors based on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring and issue resolution.
- Provide guidance to peers on vendor selection, cost savings opportunities, and compliance.
Contract Negotiations
- Lead the negotiation of contracts with suppliers, focusing on securing favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules. Ensure contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements.
- Lead strategic sourcing efforts for direct and indirect materials.
- Support cost reduction initiatives and track savings metrics.
Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure procurement activities comply with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement metrics, performance, and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and Finance to align procurement strategies with site goals.
- Responsible for implementing and influencing procurement policy and process improvements for the site that align with the company's business objectives and operational needs.
YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
- Knowledge of market trends, supply chain dynamics, and best practices in procurement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with vendors and internal teams.
- Occasionally lift 0-20 pounds
