For the Ardena Business Unit based in Somerset (US), we are looking for a Scientist II - Project Manager.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

YOUR ROLE

The Scientist II – Project Manager plays a dual role in leading scientific innovation and managing bioanalytical studies. This position combines deep expertise in method development and validation with full accountability for project execution, client communication, and regulatory compliance. The role ensures scientific excellence while coordinating cross-functional teams and maintaining operational efficiency.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead bioanalytical projects from initiation to completion, ensuring scientific, regulatory, and operational excellence.
• Act as multi-sites study director (SD) or Principal Investigator (PI) for GLP-compliant studies.
• Develop, validate, and optimize LC-MS/MS analytical methods.
• Provide scientific oversight and troubleshooting support.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including scientists, technicians, QA, and support functions.

• Serve as primary client contact, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.

YOUR PROFILE 

• BSc in (Bio)analytical Chemistry, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related field with minimum 5 years of experience in bioanalytical method development and project management.
• MSc in (Bio)analytical Chemistry, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related field with minimum 4 years of experience in bioanalytical method development and project management.
• PhD in (Bio)analytical Chemistry, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related field with minimum 2 years of experience in bioanalytical method development and project management.

• Proven leadership and client engagement skills.
• Bioanalytical Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in LC-MS/MS method development, validation, and application within GLP/GMP regulated environments.

• Experience with automation tools and regulatory audits preferred.
