For the Ardena Bioanalysis Business Unit based in Assen, The Netherlands, we are looking for a:
Team Manager Immunochemistry - Ligand Binding Assays
(32-40 hours per week)
Our bioanalytical laboratory is a highly specialized, GLP-compliant facility offering a wide range of bioanalytical services to global pharmaceutical partners, from early drug discovery to Phase IV clinical studies. Our mission is to provide precise quantitative and qualitative analyses of drugs and biomarkers in biological matrices using cutting-edge techniques, including LC-MS/MS, ligand-binding assays (ELISA), qPCR, and flow cytometry.
Our growing team of bioanalytical scientists brings expertise across diverse fields, covering small molecules, peptides, cells, and proteins, such as antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates, oligonucleotides, and nanoparticles.
Your Role
As a Team Manager Immunochemistry, you will lead and inspire a team of dedicated (Senior) Technicians, (Associate) Scientists and Project Technicians within our laboratory. You’ll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day lab operations, driving quality and regulatory excellence, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture. You work closely with fellow Team Managers, Project Management, Project Technicians and Business Support to ensure smooth lab operations. You will report directly to the Director of Laboratory Operations and play a crucial role in the continuous improvement and strategic development of our lab environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and coach a diverse team of lab professionals.
- Monitor team performance, provide regular feedback, and support career development.
- Oversee training programs and onboarding for new hires and interns.
- Ensure compliance with GxP and other bioanalytical regulations (FDA, EMA, ICH M10).
- Coordinate with Project Technicians for smooth daily lab operations.
- Drive process improvements and innovation initiatives.
- Optimize resource planning (personnel, equipment, and materials).
- Support audits, investigations, and inspections.
- Manage SOP updates and maintenance to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. Promote a culture of safety, respect, and continuous improvement.

Our requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant scientific field.
- At least 3 years of laboratory experience in a regulated environment.
- Solid knowledge of immunoassay methods and techniques, including ELISA and MSD.
- Strong understanding of GLP/GCP, 21 CFR Part 11, and other bioanalytical regulations.
- Leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Familiarity with LIMS and lab automation is a plus.
- Fluency in both Dutch and English.
