For the Ardena Nanomedicines Business Unit based in Oss, we are looking for an
(Associate) Scientist Analytical Sciences
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You will become part of our group Analytical Development within the Analytical Sciences department of the Nanomedicines Business Unit.
Next, you will implement, develop and qualify chromatographic methods to support development of new pharmaceuticals in different stages of development.
You provide close analytical support to the process R&D department. As the technical expert of your chromatographic area, you are responsible for excellent performance of the equipment and take the lead in new developments in that area
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- You implement, develop, and validate chromatographic methods for analysis of starting materials, intermediates, drug substances and drug products including complex sample pre-treatments.
- You perform chromatographic analysis to support stability studies
- You prepare reports containing analytical results.
- You keep yourself up to date with the latest technical and CMC developments as well as insights into your area of expertise.
- You provide analytical support and training for process R&D and analytical colleagues.
- You take up responsibility to run a smooth lab e.g., the management of lab spaces, equipment, or materials.
You will report into one of the group leads in the Department of Analytical Sciences Nanomedicines.
YOUR PROFILE LOOKS LIKE/ RESEMBLES
- You have a bachelor's or master's degree in analytical chemistry or a related field.
- You have at least 2 years of experience with chromatographic systems (LC, SEC or GC). You have a solid background in the technical and scientific aspects of one of these techniques and are recognized as an expert in this field.
- You will enhance the scientific excellence of the analytical sciences team, potentially introducing novel techniques. You excel in translating characterization challenges into practical analytical solutions.
- You have a good understanding of chemical structures and physical properties of materials that which you are able to apply in development of sample pre-treatments.
- You are comfortable with working in a GMP environment and possess knowledge about cGMP and ICH guidelines.
- You are interested in the technical aspects of equipment.
- You feel comfortable in a dynamic and changing environment.
- You like to learn and develop yourself.
- You are flexible, a problem solver and a team player with an analytical mindset.
- You have good communication skills and are fluent in English or Dutch (written as well as spoken).
- You are pro-active and you have a hands-on mentality.
- You have a good understanding of chemical structures and physical properties of materials that you can apply in the development of analytical methods.
