The Nanomedicines Business Unit in Oss specializes in chemical process and analytical method development, and cGMP manufacture of nanomedicines.

For the Ardena Nanomedicines Business Unit based in Oss we are looking for an

Associate Scientist (BSc/MSc) – Process R&D Nanomedicines (FT)

to strengthen our Process R&D and Manufacturing Nanomedicines department.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You will independently and in teams work on Process Research and Development (R&D) of nanomedicines. This entails the implementation of existing synthesis procedures, followed by the development of scalable, robust and GMP-compliant procedures for the preparation of nanomedicines.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will design and execute experiments for the development and scale-up of processes for the (GMP) manufacturing of nanomedicines
• You will be involved in the preparation and execution of (GMP) manufacturing of nanomedicines, in close collaboration with colleagues from Production
• Compliance to (company) regulations, procedures and (international) standards with regards to safety, product quality, order and tidiness (including GMP and HSE guidelines)
• Working closely with colleagues from Production, Analytical Sciences and Quality Assurance
• You take up responsibility to run a smooth lab, e.g. the management of your lab space, equipment and materials
• Over time, you will develop scientific, technical and organizational skills
• You will keep yourself up to date with the latest (nanomedicine) developments and insights
• You will write technical reports in English, and assist in the preparation of presentations for client discussions
• You will report to Group Lead Process R&D Nanomedicines

YOUR PROFILE LOOKS LIKE/ RESEMBLES

• You have a BSc or MSc degree in chemistry, organic life sciences or equivalent
• Knowledge of and experience with nanomedicines is greatly appreciated
• Being familiar with pharmaceutical development and cGMP is a big added value
• You have a hands-on mentality
• You are flexible, a problem solver and a team player
• You have a scientific and analytical mindset
• You feel comfortable in a dynamic and changing environment
• You have an analytical mindset, and you are stress resistant
• You have good communication skills and are fluent in both Dutch & English (written as well as spoken)
• You like to constantly learn and develop yourself
